    We chose this hotel because of its situation overlooking the water meadows and because it is quiet. We enjoyed our evening meal and the breakfast was good too.

    The outside of the hotel is rather scruffy especially the side entrance which is next to dustbins.

    Charming historic interior, scenic outdoor spaces, unique afternoon tea

    The steep stairs leading to upper levels could be a challenge for many!!! The outdated carpet and dirty bathroom facilities detract from what could be a more pleasant atmosphere!!!

    Pet-friendly hotel, terrific for summer holidays. Satisfactory breakfast with adequate food, efficient and decent staff, we liked it. The incredible location for the price, close to restaurant, the centre of Sudbury, and the river. Also, by meadows.

    We had a lovely afternoon tea experience with scrumptious sandwiches and chocolate brownies that were pure indulgence. The sun terrace was just perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring, and the cozy bar offered a great spot for a nightcap. The only hiccup was the slow service during dinner, but overall, it didn't spoil our fun-definitely book a table for tea! ☕️
